The Templars at the audience with the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV, together with collaborators and volunteers for the Jubilee

On the morning of January 10, 2026, the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV met with the collaborators and volunteers of the Jubilee 2025 at the Paul VI Hall in the Vatican, in order to express his gratitude for the service provided in support of the organization of the Jubilee, coordinated by Monsignor Rino Fisichella, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization.

Numerous ecclesiastical and civil authorities were present at the audience, along with representatives of associations and volunteer organizations, several Cardinals, and the President of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, testifying to the institutional and international significance of the event.

Also taking part in the meeting were 450 Templars, representing more than 800 who served actively during the Jubilee Year, as well as over 3,000 Templars operating worldwide, coming from various nations.

On behalf of all the Templars present, the Magister Templi, Fra’ Mauro Giorgio Ferretti, addressed words of profound gratitude to His Holiness and presented an icon of the Madonna as a sign of devotion, trust, and spiritual communion with the Successor of Peter.

January 10, 2026 holds particular historical significance, as it marked the first official and close encounter between the Templars and the Holy Father Pope Leo XIV, representing a moment of communion, recognition, and direct dialogue destined to remain in the memory of the contemporary Templar reality.
