The Templar Knight: one in a thousand

The Templar Knight is one in a thousand. This “One in a Thousand” is not vainglory. The Templar is not the best; however, he is:

the one who swears to overcome himself;
the one who promises obedience, entrusting himself to his superiors;
the one who, as a “Miles,” strives to reach the “Limes” — that is, the limit, the frontier;
the one who chooses to embody, through his actions and example, his firm and irrevocable commitment to a chivalric life: in defense of the weak, the humble, and the helpless (defensio atque protectio ecclesiarum, viduarum, orphanorum omniumque Deo serventium), bearing witness to his faith in Christ and conveying it, with all his strength and means, to his neighbor — especially to those who are far from belief;
the one who seeks to overcome the world by placing the service of the Temple above all else in his life;
the one who does not conduct himself as an ordinary man, because he chose not to be — and because he was chosen by the Templar Chain for a superhuman mission: to ensure the triumph of the faith of Christ and His eternal Temple even within the reign of the Prince of this world, the devil.

The Templar’s path is one of pure inner quest and realization, achieved through sacrifice — which may also require the shedding of blood.
This is the path of the Templar: quest, self-perfection, and the overcoming of the human condition through chivalric discipline, inspired by the spirituality of the ancient Templar Order.

The Templar’s path is a means, not an end — a means to overcome the human dimension and to find and reach God spiritually.

The Templar’s most important quality is the cult of Truth: to love and defend the truth, to abhor lying (for lying presupposes inner disunity), and to honor promises and oaths at the cost of one’s life (the Templar swears “by God, who does not lie”).
Lying nullifies the power of the rite and destroys the Templar’s charisma.

The Templar fights primarily through ACTION, which consists of:
attending meetings with his Brothers;
participating in spiritual retreats;
engaging in nocturnal vigils and spiritual combat against the forces of darkness, through prayer according to the Master’s guidance;
attending Temple evenings dedicated to the study of ancient symbols, the foundations of the ancient Templar Rule and its applications, and the true and proven reasons behind the unstoppable rise of the ancient Temple Order in just under two hundred years.
