Message from Cardinal Monterisi to the Templars

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Templars,

The Holy Mass celebrated today here in the Basilica of the Ara Coeli on the Capitoline Hill (in Rome) was a magnificent expression of faith, thanks to your so numerous and active participation, marking the conclusion of your spiritual retreat.

You have renewed your dedication to the cause of your vocation within the Church, committing yourselves to safeguard and protect Christian temples and to assist the faithful—especially pilgrims—who visit our sanctuaries.

Today’s society, struggling through this painful period of the pandemic, is in need of your witness of Christian love and hope for a better future.

The Lord and the Virgin Mary, to whom you are so devoted, will bless you and your loved ones and will guide you in your duties.

Sincerely,
His Eminence Francesco Cardinal Monterisi
